Despite a few drops of rain, the athletes took to the streets of Lyon in a friendly and festive atmosphere. The performances were outstanding!
The men's marathon was won by Maxime Tesch from Montpellier, who crossed the finish line in 2:24:24, more than 6 minutes ahead of his closest rival. In the women's category, it was Parisian Louise Loisel who came out on top, breaking the 3-hour barrier with a time of 2:57:10 in her second marathon.
In the half-marathon category, Monistrol-sur-Loire (Haute-Loire) runner Julien Rabaca dominated the race after taking the lead at kilometre 15, crossing the line with a time of 1:05:44. In the women's race, regional runner Maëlle Lacroix (Décines-Charpieu), announced as the favourite, held her ground and won in 1:18:34.
In the 10km, local man Anthony Frontera won the race for the second year running with a time of 30:05. In the women's race, Paris-based Laurina Arche won in 35:57.
